Katie's father was Jacob Sher and her mother was Nora (Nechamah) Cohen.  Her paternal grandfather was Menachem Mendel Sher and her paternal grandmother is ? ?; her maternal grandparents are Shmuel Cohen and ? ?.  She had two brothers and two sisters, named Louis, Max, Milly and Thelma (Tilly).  She died on June 8th, 1945.
