Philippa was born on March 6th, 1955.  Philippa's father is Isaac (Tommy) Thomas and her mother was Edna Beryl Kaplan.  Her maternal grandparents were Aaron Kaplan and Gerta Bautzer.  She has a brother and a sister, named Michael Benjamin and Penelope Ann.  She is the oldest of the three children.  She has a half-brother and a half-sister, named Edward and Harriet.
