Betty was born on August 2nd, 1920.  Betty's father was Saul (Sol) Leon Jacobson and her mother was Milly Sher.  Her maternal grandparents were Jacob Sher and Nora (Nechamah) Cohen.  She had two sisters named Doreen and Freda Joy.  She is the oldest of the three children.
